WACHOVIA TARGETS MINORITIES WITH LATEST AD CAMPAIGN
Goodwin Communications received the nod from Wachovia to develop a marketing campaign to reach minorities in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The cornerstone of the campaign will be a video targeting African-American females. Through an arrangement with Blockbuster Video, the videos will be distributed through the community interest sections of participating stores. It will also be available in Wachovia branch offices. In explaining why Wachovia chose Goodwin Communications, Brenda Hellums, Wachovia's Director of Marketing said, "We felt that Goodwin Communications demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity to this important market. Their creative efforts in the past were consistent with the kind of product we were looking for." In addition to the video, Goodwin will develop supporting print material and radio spots.
